Actor Julian McMahon, known for his roles in Nip/Tuck and FBI: Most Wanted, has died at the age of 56 after a private battle with cancer. His wife, Kelly, confirmed the news in a heartfelt statement, saying he “died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer.”
Julian was last seen publicly in March at SXSW in Austin, Texas, where he promoted the film The Surfer with Nicolas Cage. Kelly, whom he married in 2024, shared how deeply Julian loved his family, fans, and career: “His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible.”
Julian rose to fame as Dr. Christian Troy in Nip/Tuck (2003–2010) and also starred in Charmed, Profiler, and FBI: Most Wanted. He played the villain Doctor Doom in the Fantastic Four films and appeared alongside Sandra Bullock in Premonition (2007).
Born in Sydney, he was the son of former Australian Prime Minister Sir William McMahon. He was previously married to Dannii Minogue and Brooke Burns, with whom he had a daughter, Madison.

His final role was in Netflix’s The Residence, where he portrayed the Australian Prime Minister—bringing his career full circle.
