Donald Trump dementia fears spike as doctor makes new dire claims

Donald Trump has been officially declared in excellent health by White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella. In an April 2024 medical report, Barbabella stated that Trump is fully fit to serve as Commander-in-Chief. The exam showed normal results for his heart, ears, eyes, and other areas.

Trump, who is 75 inches tall and weighs 224 pounds, also underwent a colonoscopy where a benign polyp and diverticulitis were found. He is scheduled for a follow-up in three years. Trump takes medications for cholesterol, heart health, and a skin condition.

He also had cataract surgery and was described as having “robust” physical and cognitive health. Trump himself said he passed all parts of the cognitive test he took. However, concerns about Trump’s health continue to circulate. In recent months, rumors have emerged about him possibly wearing a catheter. More seriously, psychologist Dr. John Gartner has raised concerns that Trump may show signs of frontotemporal dementia.

On The Dean Obeidallah Show, Gartner pointed to Trump’s unusual walking pattern, balance issues, and motor decline. He specifically noted a “leg swing” in Trump’s gait, which several neurologists say can be a strong sign of dementia.

Gartner and other experts say they have observed a clear difference in Trump’s physical coordination compared to earlier years, suggesting neurological deterioration. Despite the official health report, these claims have sparked ongoing debate over whether Trump is truly fit to hold office.
